http://pr.cannazine.co.uk (http://pr.cannazine.co.uk) : When Cannabis Science Inc (OTCBB:CBIS (http://www.otcbb.com/asp/Info_Center.asp) ) CEO Steve Kubby explains his beliefs in medical marijuana he does so with a passion and a verve which comes from a depth and understanding that most of us could simply never imagine. A mindset which comes as a result no doubt, of being told he had only 6 monts to live.Steve KubbyIn a spectacular investors radio interview aired by http://smallcapvoice.com (http://smallcapvoice.com/blog/3-24-09-audio-interview-with-cannabis-science-inc-otcbb-cbis/) recently, Steve Kubby explained why using medical marijuana to fight one of the most aggressive forms of cancer known to man (metastatic adrenal cancer) is the only treatment he would consider and as a direct result of his unorthadox regime doctors from UCLA, from USC and from the Mayo Clinic agree, there is definitely something in the medical marijuana Steve Kubby uses which has essentially put his illness, normally a terminal condition and one for which Steve Kubby is the longest known survivor, in check.

How Cannabis Science Could Save 10000 UK Prostate Cancer Sufferers A Year
Posted by Canna Zine under CannaZine NewsNo Comments
http://pr.cannazine.co.uk (http://pr.cannazine.co.uk) : Without a doubt the most common cancer amongst British men is Prostate Cancer. Each year the condition accounts for nearly 35,000 new cases and around 10,000 deaths, with few treatments available for advanced disease. Those which are available are generally palliative in nature, rather than actually dealing with curing the disease itself. But two cancer patients from the US have defied pharmaceutical logic by surviving the disease with an experimental drug which took advanced prostate cancer (one patient had a tumor said to be the size of a golf ball), and receeded it to such a degree the consultant had to double check he was looking at the right patient notes. If it all sounds a bit like a science fiction story with a happy ending, thats because its been written by a Public Relations department within a large marketing company.

“Marijuana smoke has joined tobacco smoke and hundreds of other chemicals on a list of substances California regulators say cause cancer. The listing only applies to marijuana smoke, not the plant itself.“The state agency found marijuana smoke contains 33 of the same harmful chemicals as tobacco smoke. The findings came from a review of more than 30 scientific papers.”But does the presence of these chemicals mean more cancer for sure? That’s quite a leap. It carefully ignores human biology. It also overlooks a National Institutes of Health study published three years earlier, and reported in the Washington Post by Marc Kaufman on May 26, 2006, and elsewhere.

A POSTMAN has been jailed for burning thousands of letters he was too lazy to deliver because he smoked too much cannabis.Neil Goddard, 32, set up his own cannabis factory in his bedroom and grew £8,000 worth of plants. But he smoked so much of his own product that he became too wasted to keep up his day job.He decided he just couldn't be bothered to deliver all of his mail and instead burned it in his back garden. Around 10,000 items went up in smoke - mostly junk mail but also hundreds of potentially vital letters and parcels.

Allison Margolin presents a legal argument for medical marijuana
Posted by Joomla! powered Site under UncategorizedNo Comments
Innocent until proven guilty is not a mantra we hear mentioned often when it comes to marijuana. Its tough to get a fair hearing for a marijuana court case, as defence lawyers are all educated under the same system as the prosecution. But Harvard educated Allison Margolin looks beyond the US 'company line' to seek a level playing field for marijuana defendants like Charles Lynch. http://pr.cannazine.co.uk (http://pr.cannazine.co.uk) : Charles Lynch, a dispensary operator from Morro Bay, California, who was indicted and convicted in federal court for activities related to selling marijuana to medical patients, received a sentence last Thursday of a year and a day.LA's Dopest Attorney - Allison MargolinJohn Littrell, Lynch’s attorney, indicated that Lynch received what is known as the “safety valve.” This is a federal statute that allows for a defendant who is otherwise subject to mandatory minimum sentences to have a reprieve and be sentenced outside of them. In order to qualify for the so-called ’safety valve,’ the defendant cannot be the “leader” of the organization. Littrell indicated the judge would issue a written order amidst objection by the U.S. Attorney to the safety valve in part on that basis.
