Will cannabis come back to haunt Labour?

Please vote on May 6th 2010 On May 6th 2010 the population of the UK (that has the vote) will go to the polls to decide who will run the government for the next four years, and for a British cannabis community which numbers between 3 and 7 million people depending on which newspaper you read, the future is bleak. LabourIn the red corner, the current Labour government's stand on cannabis is only too well known.Regardless of the fact 14 of the United States have now legalised cannabis for medical use, or the fact that over 50 million people world wide now have access to a legal supply of cannabis to some degree, the Labour government stubbornly refuses to open a debate on what the legal status of cannabis should be.

Eugene, Apr 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Activist and well known author Jack Herer passed away on Thursday, in his family residence at Eugene. He had been suffering from complications that had turned severe after he suffered a major heart attack in September last year. Jack Herer - RIPThis year in March, he had shifted to Eugene with his wife, who expressed her deep sorrow at her loss, saying that she found it hard to digest the fact that he is no more. Jack Herer was 70 years old at the time of his death. He leaves behind his wife, Jeannie Herer and their six children. Jack also leaves behind a brother and a sister.

Cannabis Is A Valuable Medicine. When Will The UK Catch Up?

Victor Hamilton, the well-known cannabis campaigner, has launched a new initiative for the recognition of medicinal cannabis in the UK. Throughout Europe and North America cannabis (or marijuana) is recognised as a valuable medicine. In the USA there are now 15 states with medical marijuana laws and President Obama has ordered the DEA and the FBI not to enforce federal laws on medical marijuana users.
